Elizabeth and Anthony Robinson were born in Coniston and have spent all their working lives in the hospitality trade in the village. They have run their award winning Coniston Lodge guest accommodation for 20 years, which has become a home from home for walkers, climbers and for those looking for a quiet Lakeland retreat. 

During their visit, guests have been tempted by Elizabeth’s delicious home made Cumbrian Gingerbread, Lakeland Tea Loaf, jams, chutneys, marmalades and Christmas Puddings.  Guests would often ask to purchase the tasty products to take home – and Coniston Country Kitchen Larder was born.
